Application of steam ejector in wet oxidation desulfurization

With the development of desulfurization technology, more and more new processes and equipment have been applied. The application of this new process and equipment has greatly improved the operation of the wet oxidation desulfurization plant, and this article gives a personal view on the use of steam ejectors in desulfurization.
  
1. Basic principle
  
The main working principle of steam ejector applied to desulfurization sulfur recovery unit is:
  
After desulfurization, the solution hits the injector inlet (the inlet pressure is between 0.4-0.5MPa) through the regeneration pump (or the pressure of the desulfurization liquid itself), and the desulfurization liquid is shot directly in the throat of the steam ejector (at this time, the flow rate of the solution in the throat is 18-25m/s). Since the solution is ejected from the throat at high speed, the steam ejector gas chamber forms a certain negative pressure, and the external air naturally enters the gas chamber under the action of differential pressure and enters the throat pipe together with the solution. After the air and solution are thoroughly mixed in the throat, the catalyst in the solution can quickly absorb oxygen in the air, oxidize it, and restore its activity. After the air and solution are redox in the throat, they enter the diffusion tube, and then separate the air liquid through the bottom of the regeneration tank, completing the three important roles of inhalation air, desulfurization liquid oxidation and regeneration gas liquid separation.
  
2. Structure
  
Its main structure consists of nozzle, air chamber, throat pipe, diffusion tube and tail pipe. Each part is calculated and reasonably designed according to different working conditions to form a complete steam ejector.
  
3. Selection of steam injector
  
A good steam ejector can not only meet the needs of industrial production, but also has a beautiful shape and is convenient to maintain.
  
There are many types of steam ejectors and materials. Different styles have different designs, but they all follow one and meet the conditions for the use of recovered sulfur. I have seen injectors for desulfurization regeneration. The nozzle inlet pressure reached 0.50MPa, and the air chamber did not form an effective negative pressure, resulting in the air volume could not meet the regeneration demand, and there was no regeneration foam, which seriously affected the sulfur recovery system and led to the instability of the entire desulfurization system.
  
Material selection, wet desulfurization when choosing carbon steel materials or stainless steel, FRP materials, enterprises can choose according to their actual situation, according to the use effect, in fact, various materials of ejectors are not much different.
  
4. Design and installation of injector
  
According to years of design and on-site experience, it has formed its own design and installation system. According to each enterprise or system set, consider the reasonable number, distribution and site conditions, combined with on-site installation, use, maintenance and design of reasonable supporting facilities, to provide customers with convenience.
  
5. Operation and use
  
The good performance of the air chamber inlet in use is good inhalation. The air chamber inlet is not anti-liquid, and attention should be paid to regular inspection and sorting during use, and if it is found that the inhalation is not good or the air chamber semi-liquid is found to be stopped in time.
